CBD questions we’re asked most
Is CBD legal in the UK?
Yes. CBD products are legal in the UK as long as they stay within the strict limit on THC and other controlled cannabinoids, and CBD foods and supplements need to be on the FSA’s public list of products going through the novel food process. Our guide Is CBD legal in the UK? explains the rules in plain English.
How much CBD should I take?
The Food Standards Agency advises healthy adults to have no more than 10mg of CBD a day. Start low and check the label for how much is in each drop or gummy. How much CBD should I take? walks through the maths for oils and gummies.
Does CBD get you high?
No. CBD is not intoxicating. Legal UK products contain no more than trace amounts of THC, the compound in cannabis that causes a high. Full spectrum products can contain a trace of THC that may show up on a sensitive drug test, so choose broad spectrum or isolate if that matters to you.
Should I choose CBD oil or CBD gummies?
Oil lets you adjust the amount drop by drop. Gummies have a fixed amount in each one, so there is nothing to measure. Creams and balms are for using on the skin. Our guides to CBD oil and CBD gummies compare them in more detail.
How do I know a CBD product is genuine?
Look for an up-to-date lab report (certificate of analysis) from an independent lab that matches the product and batch. It should confirm the amount of CBD and show THC within the legal limit. How to read a CBD lab report shows you what to check.
Can I buy CBD in person in London?
Yes. Our shop is in Camden’s Stables Market and is open every day from 11:00 to 19:00. Our team can talk you through the options and show you the lab reports.
Our CBD products are food supplements or cosmetics, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The FSA advises healthy adults to have no more than 10mg of CBD a day. CBD is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it can interact with some medicines, so check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any.
